Brad’s journey to 7+ hours of uninterrupted sleep

Brad’s journey to 7+ hours of uninterrupted sleep
Back in 2022, my client Brad got sick with what he thinks was COVID. After that experience, insomnia started. Some nights he only got 1-2 hours of sleep!
Brad tried many different things to sleep well again, but nothing worked - until he found us.
In this blog post, we will explore Brad’s journey from 1-2 hours of sleep a night to 7+ hours a night. You’ll learn what Brad tried to get a good night’s rest (before he worked with us), why he signed up for the Complete Sleep Solution program, the results of his functional lab tests, and the changes he made that helped him sleep well again and improve his digestion.
I hope this blog post shows you a clear path from insomnia exhaustion to sleeping like a baby.
Let’s dive in!
What Brad tried to get a good night’s rest (before he worked with us)
Brad desperately wanted to get better, so he started taking over-the-counter drugs. But they didn’t help him sleep.
He then reached out to a medical professional and was prescribed Trazadone, which worked at first, but then stopped working.
The medical professional he was working with assigned him a psychologist to look for underlying stress reasons, but that didn’t help at all.
His doctor then prescribed him benzodiazepine, which worked at first. But it became extremely addictive and didn’t help with sleep.
Brad didn’t give up though. The next thing he did was sign up for a health and wellness program, but unfortunately that didn’t work either.
After 9 months of struggling to sleep and trying different things, Brad finally signed up for the Complete Sleep Solution program.
Why he signed up for the Complete Sleep Solution program
The first thing we did with Brad in the Complete Sleep Solution program was functional lab testing. And this was one of the main reasons Brad signed up for the program!
Knowing there would be personalized, scientific results to his insomnia made Brad more confident than ever that this program would help him sleep again.
The results of Brad’s functional lab tests
Functional lab testing found high cortisol levels at night and low testosterone levels. Both of which played a part in his insomnia.
When cortisol is high at night, it wakes you up. And many people have a difficult time falling back asleep. It takes time for cortisol levels to decrease again.
When hormones, such as testosterone, are out of balance, it affects many areas of the body and sleep.
Knowing exactly why he wasn’t sleeping was such a relief for him, because he now knew how to fix it.
Changes he made that helped him sleep well again and improve his digestion
His sleep coach in the Complete Sleep Solution program gave him a personalized protocol to fix the imbalances in his body.
Brad’s personalized protocol included:
- Changes to his diet, including getting back on a 3 meal a day plan and eating according to his metabolic type
- Balancing his blood sugar
- Maintaining a consistent bedtime routine
- Getting off sleep medication completely
- Taking supplements to support his body through this process
- Working with his sleep coach on making these changes
Brad quickly started sleeping better, feeling better, and noticed a huge improvement to his digestion.
Now he’s able to fall asleep pretty quickly and get about 7 hours of deep sleep. He feels like he got his life back!
He admits that he has a bad night once every 2 weeks or so, but it’s not as bad as what it used to be, and he knows exactly what to do to get back on track the next day and sleep well again.
Brad said:
“I feel like I got my life back. Maybe this will get me another 30 or 40 years beyond what I was already going to get.”
